With all our shows Rebellion Re-enactment strive to bring to life the dream of the event organiser. As such, shows can take many different formats depending on the location, the budget, period of history and audience. Below are our most requested types of performances:
Living History: One of the few cavalry groups in the country to provide an opportunity for guests to meet our horses in a historically accurate setting. Your visitors will be able to feed and stroke our horses whilst our friendly team talk them through what life was like in the period you would like us to portray.
Parades: Looking to add a little extra flair to your parade? Why not hire our horses to be a part of it.
Tournaments: Pit our horses against one another as they compete in a tournament to win the crowd’s favour. This is a popular choice where our riders will attempt to capture the flag or crest of another knight to win. Throughout the day other tournaments for the various teams can take place such as cabbage chopping, archery, and infantry engagement.
Skill at arms displays: Whether you’d like us to focus on just one era or would like to see how weapons evolved through time, we can put on a skill at arms and gymkhana styled games to show off the skill of horsemen across history.
Battle reenactments: Our most popular type of booking, add an extra something special to your planned battle reenactments by hiring the team to be a part of the big fight. With our own group of infantry too we can work to incorporate infantry vs cavalry battles or stick to cavalry against cavalry clashes. We’ve worked with numerous infantry groups and other cavalry groups over the years too and are happy to do so again to make your show bigger and better.
Seasonal events: Alongside our historical shows our horses are also available for seasonal events such as St George’s Day, Halloween and Christmas. Of course, we also have the Coronation of King Charles coming up in May which promises to be a historical day out for many across the country.
Very often on top of the two main slots we will also conduct a parade, or several small parades, around the site.
We love anything different, weird, or whacky so please get in touch with us to discuss your events needs.
